Been looking at a pair of workman bakers on louella I take it these are a British strain?

 

I doubt very much there is such a thing as a British strain, or any other for that matter. Even in days gone by fanciers were bringing in birds from here there and everywhere creating Hybrid birds all over Europe. Jmo.

you would be best to look at what type is winning in this country and for how long

and would say the ardens have held no a bad record over the years at the distance but sprint would be a different kettle of fish

the kirkpatricks have been around a long time i had mine for 20 years was bought out last year all went to one loft so still as a family, i no others that have kept them as a family a lot longer than me and thay are still breeding winners today.
