Walter swanston Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 In our local newspaper The Annandale Herald and Moffat news there is prominently displayed on page 11 what is described as a powerful image it shows a hen sparrow hawk which has and I quote " captured a young robin" and as usual is busily engaged in eating it alive which the newspaper describes as the "plucking process" all to provide a heart meal for her three near ye chicks. While photographs such as this are enthusiastically printed in newspapers for the admiration and delight of normal members of the public the money spent and the efforts made by organisations such as the raptor alliance is a complete waste.
