i had to foster one young bird because sire was killed by a hawk i put it in a preveous post the young bird as you can see is doing well

If you can obtain an imitation American Owl, and place it near your loft, it will deter the Hawks. Its the Owls eyes the Hawk dosnt like, as this is the Hawks natural enemy

yes they are silvers mate my first silvers off this pair they usually breed blues and pieds but there are silvers in the cocks pedigree G.Gsire was silver and yes carl i have raced some of these strains before but most are new stock brought in this last 2 years
