im on a course of antibiotics for an underlying infection on reading the leaflet with the tablets which are amoxicillin it says it can be used to cure typhoid and paratyphoid which is caused by the salmonella bacteria food for thought and amoxicillin is your cure which you can get cheap from your vet if your worried about it but prevention is better than cure imo

amoxycillin and furazoladone has always been the ones used for salmonela paratyphoid until baytril came on the scene . I think the amoxy might clear up the infection but will leave carriers for deffo

 

anyone ive known with parra t has had o start from scratch because of the carriers .
