just ask me Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 have to agree with you on that and to be honest pigeon fanciers have short memories it was reported that the use of IVERMECTIN was responsible for the deaths of vultures that had ate the carcasses of dead animals that had been treated with it for worms etc think it was ROLAND that put something on here about it at the time that the know alls had made alterations to it in order that birds of prey would no longer die from its use making it completely useless exactly seen a eagle only recently been wormed with ivermectin with ni ill effects at all
Guest slugmonkey Posted June 15, 2014 Report Posted June 15, 2014 cinnamon and garlic will both help deter worms ....I also use cayenne pepper ... I take cinnamon daily as it helps my diabetes tremendously .... I have never thought about giving cinnamon to my birds guess I am headed to the health food store .... I also give oil of oregano ... this is a tremendous respiratory aid and works very well as having a LOT of action as a free radical destroyer .......
peter dempsey Posted December 25, 2015 Report Posted December 25, 2015 for attention Walter boswel ? Diclofenic is based on the same drug the dr prescribes for pain ie Diafine so here is a tool we to can use if our birds are in pain this is the same drug that wiped out the Vultures happy Xmass to all
Novice Posted December 25, 2015 Report Posted December 25, 2015 Just to keep the record straight the compound we are discussing is diclofenac. This is the active ingredient in Voltarol available without prescription for about £7.00 from any good Chemists.
Roland Posted December 26, 2015 Report Posted December 26, 2015 I use on corn, but not the oil, powder. Have done past 18 months. Along with Lime flour aided by garlic oil.Cinnamon to clear tubes, Lime for bones / feathering, I.e. calcium and Garlic as a preventive and blood cleanser. All natural.... But NONE what would be natural for the birds to have in the wild. Learnt this from Billy Taylor ogf the U.S.A. when he visited. Was surprised when I had the good fortune visiting Owen. An eye opener is his set up, and proven by results.
