geordie1234 Posted October 3, 2013 Author Report Posted October 3, 2013 No one treat as a prevention for e coli? Salmonella?
Guest Owen Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 I reckon that it is best not to treat because this is the time that the birds can build up their resistance to the various health challenges. I work on the basis that the less times you gave pigeons medication the better. My birds will have their droppings and swabs tested about the end of November and given their vaccination but that's it. At one time I used to treat for paratyphoid but I stopped that years ago because I think it is unnecessary and it does not really protect the birds.
blaz Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 Treat only with the wheelie in the winter.Im always looking to make space. Its the time to get the immune system kicking in and any that don't cope can find food elsewhere if ye know what I mean. best post yet on thread
