For the last two weeks we have been feeding a lost Pigeon who has been in our garden.

He seems very tame, but we aren't experienced enough to catch him and get his tag number, which definitely starts with NPA!

We are located just south of Leicester. So, if you've lost one like it in that timescale, please get in touch with me to take the matter further.

Any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated.

It is a show bird if you contact the National pigeon Association (Graham Giddings ) and he will put you in touch with a local fancy pigeon breeder

Hi there, I have already rang Mr Giddings and he suggested leaving it to fend for itself! However, I don't agree with him and think it is too tame for the wild!

So, any other suggestions?

Hi,

I think your answer is the best. So, if you can get in touch with the chairman of the NPA and get someone local to me, I will pass on my details and we can re-unite it or give it a new home.

The bird is in one of our gardens in the daytime, and we feed him then. So, I think that is the best time to catch him.

What do you think? MMB if you agree.

If you can contain the bird i have spoken to a friend and he will travel to collect it but as he lives 2 hours away he would rather it was caught to avoid a wasted journey, i have asked another friend if he lives or knows anybody nearby.
