Walter swanston Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 I got ETS for my club through the lottery and helped other clubs as well by writing constitutions for them and assisting them with their applications and I am glad that I was able to help as it is obvious that ETS is an enormous advance for the fancier.It is quite clear that many fanciers could never have afforded the system but for the lottery but that is no reason why they should be sneered at on this site.
Guest lifes to short Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 fair play to you walter ,i personally would never mock a man till ive walked a mile in his shoes ,i myself still use manual clocking due to thinking the 200 -300 plus pounds is better spent on my two kids than on an ets system,lottery funding is there to be used for the community so well done for helping this happen

walterboswell59 Posted August 16, 2013 Report Posted August 16, 2013 like i said before my time in the club and as far as i know many clubs got knocked back for the grant untill they were shown or told what to put on the form but i dont believe it was made a cnt of to stop other members getting one as your sugesting jim hannah and peter white are two good guys they would never try to stop other members getting ets by sabotaging the application form for f k sake man get a grip

walterboswell59 Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 got to agree doo men are strange breed dell lots of back stabbers in this game but most are good guys i was lucky enough to have the money to buy my ets and was glad when my then club greenfield got the grant as i wanted everyone on a level playing field even though no one gave a s t when i could not afford a car to train my birds or have spunics that you could time birds in with out going in the loft then came the stall traps even faster but no one moaned or complained of the advantage that these new traps gave if you wanted to be on the same level you just had to save up and get one or be happy with what you had same with ets such is life some of the guys that complain about the price of ets spend more in the pub or bookies in a month or two which is up to them others it would not matter if you gave them a half hour start at lib and they still would not win and there the ones that do most of the greetin if you cant beat them join them simple as that
