Quick question,regarding manual clocks,in a two day race do you need a strike on the first night say for example you do not get a bird before the race closes or you get one a minute before the race closes do you then have to take it to get a strike or do you just control the clock by putting a thimble in[used to do this in Lanarkshire].

It is much better now for ets users with rule 239 being struck off the books and they now do not need to travel late at night if they get a timer near the end of the close of the race that day.

If you are using an old Toulet you would need to control it, but STBs etc do not need to be controlled Tam as they print a record of the day

still have an old one in the loft though,was given to me a long time ago
