Beno42 Posted June 11, 2013 Author Report Posted June 11, 2013 It could be with the hot weather we have had they are panting we had ours out yesterday and they were panting. Been like that for a few weeks now , so don't think it tht cheers anyway
b.massey Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 I'd say its just typical ybs getting used to flying as mines flew over hour and done it last few days and just a form of cooling them self down, if not maybe ryspiratory?? But I ain't worried at mines doing it as they are in great nick
Guest geordiejen Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 sounds as if its just unfit mate.if its respiritory check there is not too much fluid in the mouth, nice clean pinkish throat and no wheezing or clackling from the throat when lifted off the perch.
Wiley Posted June 11, 2013 Report Posted June 11, 2013 If they've been going out for quiet a few weeks I'd be expecting more then ten minutes from them. In my opinion you have two options of the cause, the first route I would look at is that there too fat, and overweight, I would then lighten the feed, there exercise period would also increase dramatically. If after you've gone down the route of them being too heavy I would suspect a respiratory disease. Once treated you should notice a dramatic improvement after just a few days if the treatment is effective they'll stop panting and start to fly the skies out
