  • I reported it on the relevant website but got an empty email response, so don't know if their form is working properly..

  • Anyway, just in case one of your guys is the bird's owner.

  • She's a bit poorly but I don't know if it's just exhaustion and stress, but she's managed to eat something now and hasn't fallen over for a while.

Hi all,

I'm the person that found the pigeon. I emailed the strays@rpra.org address after I didn't get a reply from the stray report, and it seems there is something wrong with their form - they didn't get the report. So just an FYI if you send people there to report. Use the email address for now..

I've left a message with the registered owner, and I found a local pigeon fancier to look after her. She seemed pretty thin and completely exhausted, and I wasn't sure if I was looking after her properly.

I realised something was wrong when the bird tried crawling on to my feet instead of away from them, while I was trying to shoo her and her greasy suitor out of the pharmacy! I picked her up and wandered about until the pharmacy people found me a box, then headed straight home with her strapped to my pannier..!

I've put the owner and the chap looking after her in touch so hopefully it all works out. I don't know how wobbly they get when they're exhausted so hopefully that's all it was..

On a slightly related note - crikey, pigeons poo a _lot_.
