THE FIFER Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 Tiff Leek 19:25 (1 hour ago)to meI reported it on the relevant website but got an empty email response, so don't know if their form is working properly..Anyway, just in case one of your guys is the bird's owner.GB12 V 17093She's a bit poorly but I don't know if it's just exhaustion and stress, but she's managed to eat something now and hasn't fallen over for a while.
tiff Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 Hi all, I'm the person that found the pigeon. I emailed the strays@rpra.org address after I didn't get a reply from the stray report, and it seems there is something wrong with their form - they didn't get the report. So just an FYI if you send people there to report. Use the email address for now.. I've left a message with the registered owner, and I found a local pigeon fancier to look after her. She seemed pretty thin and completely exhausted, and I wasn't sure if I was looking after her properly. Tiff
tiff Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 I realised something was wrong when the bird tried crawling on to my feet instead of away from them, while I was trying to shoo her and her greasy suitor out of the pharmacy! I picked her up and wandered about until the pharmacy people found me a box, then headed straight home with her strapped to my pannier..! I've put the owner and the chap looking after her in touch so hopefully it all works out. I don't know how wobbly they get when they're exhausted so hopefully that's all it was.. On a slightly related note - crikey, pigeons poo a _lot_.
