E4fed Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 I have not raced for 2 years and do not see me racing in the near future if ever again. My racers were gifted to friends at the beginning of the winter of 2011 and I kept 36 birds including my stock and best bred birds to breed a family (in loose terms) of grizzles based on my Jan Aardens [Jan Polders direct, Invincible Spirit/Detori and ROJones of Resolven South Wales] and using a Jos Thone Grizlle hen for the grizzle gene. Anyway I now have a few generations of grizzles and its time to take out the non grizzles that I have crossed with the grizzles to get a big gene pool............ I have for sale 4 pairs that are well enough bred to be used to start a family of Jan Aardens for £300 as a lot (I will NOT split them) The 4 cocks are all brothers and bred from my R O Jones cock (Robert is a friend and picked this cock out for me) and the Dam is a double grandaughter of Invincible spirit. These 4 cocks were raced as yb and ylgs through to the coast on the south east route from s wales approx 200 miles. The 4 hens to go with them:2 hens bred from Sire a full brother to Miss Wilson [Tumley Lofts] and Dam is the Double Grandaughter of Invincible Spirit as above. These hens raced as 2 yr olds across the channel on the south east route.1 hen is bred from Sire The R O Jones cock above the Dam is bred from a gson of Inv Spirit and half sister of Inv Dettori. This hen not raced.1 hen is bred from my Jan Polders from House of Aarden Sire son of Husky Boy x Sister Victoria, Dam dtr of the Senator and gdtr of the President. This hen not raced. These birds will be available in May when they have finished breeding a round of yb for me. From the yb they breed for me, as they are crossed with my grizzles, I will keep any youngg grizzles and have donated the non grizzles to a local BB. £300 for 4 pairs of well bred and 6 of them having been on the road is a steal ?

ALF Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 Just my opinion but i think you might struggle to sell them in may pal as most people wont introduce pigeons then unless they have a spare section but good luck with the sale they sound like good birds All the best Alan
E4fed Posted April 11, 2013 Author Report Posted April 11, 2013 You are probably right Alan, but this is a genuine sale of some good birds which i have now bred what i need from them.
