Guest bigda Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 the second photo what type of bird has it got, is it a jay the same size as a pigeon
PIGEONPACKMAN Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 reply seen one today though the same looked like a member of the crow family
billt Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Kite's are completely harmless to pigeons, they are carrion feeders that's why they set up feeding stations, If I'm looking at the right pictures none are carrying anything and they certainly look nothing like a crow
Guest bigda Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 the second photo has it with another bird but the point is, is this helping the bird fend for its self or the collection bucket. reply seen one today though the same looked like a member of the crow familyyes the jay is of the crow family

That's it's other wing, not carrying a bird and you're right, it has to be fed as it's a carrion feeder and farmers aren't allowed to leave dead stock on the fields, what road-kills there are, are taken by the Buzzard who bullies the Kite, there was a good reason they became extinct in this country, lack of food, without help they could not survive, but as they are harmless to us I don't have a problem yes the jay is of the crow family

Guest paulrstokes Posted April 4, 2013 Report Posted April 4, 2013 I think you are also allowed to take photos for a nice fee, or you can buy prints if you wish £20 for A4 size
