Roland Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 We will certainly give them a try. Who knows, their claims may well be valid a few years down the line. Gangster, it would like to see if they would also be interested in transport set up for over seas.... again fingers crossed.
gangster Posted July 20, 2008 Author Report Posted July 20, 2008 maybe a possibility if enough interest as they combine deliverys to certain areas making it cost effective.....
DOVEScot Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 maybe a possibility if enough interest as they combine deliverys to certain areas making it cost effective..... Good luck to them, the only ones that can compete without holding lofts is a national courier service that are willing to transport pigeons, the minute they franchise the outlying areas the same problems will occur that do with Amtrak. Lets hope they are in it for the long run, I think if Amtrak is challenged enough they will have two options 1. Improve their service, which will be good for everyone 2. Stop the service, only good if there is a back up that can cover the whole country :-/

With toda's climate in fuel costs, every £'s a prisoner, but feel that they would run from a needless peeing contest. Has to be a real lucrative market to get competition... and as the fact that Amtrack has gone unchallenged for so long, i further feel that shows there is the money in it to warrent a market.

Another is UPS, this is the only country that they don't provide a pigeon service, as you say not enough in it to squable over, so lets hope the back up plan works :-/
