A Great Day Out

I set off yesterday at 7.30am on what turned out to be a real eye opener, not only for the sheer quality of the pigeons that I had the pleasure to handle, but also the hospitality and welcome I received from three true gentlemen of our sport, all of whom are members of this site.

My first stop was to Mark Bulled of Harlow a multiple winner of the London North Road Combine along with his late father. Here I was honoured to handle many of Mark's combine winners and what quality these birds are. The purpose of this visit was to pick up 6 youngsters that Mark had offered to breed me. All these youngsters have come out of Mark's top pigeons and I have great hopes for them in the future. Thank you also Mark for the "gift" Gaby youngster.

Next it was off to Spencer Jackson's, to pick up some birds he gifted me. I have to say, what a genuine, friendly man he is, and he made me more than welcome. I was honoured to be able to handle each and every one of Spencer's VDB pigeons, and what quality these birds are, not a bad one amongst them.

My next and last port of call was to the home of "Mr Charity" Vinnie, here I picked up some babies that he had offered to breed for my Grandson. This man has a heart of gold and the work he does with pigeons for charity is second to none.
