sapper756 Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 Man Utd v Liverpool & Arsenal v Man City Manchester United play host to bitter rivals Liverpool aiming to extend their lead at the top of the table All eyes will be on the top two Premier League goalscorers Robin van Persie and Luis Suarez at Old Trafford. Live on Sky Sports 1 1.30pmhttp://e1.365dm.com/football/badges/64/210.pngvshttp://e2.365dm.com/football/badges/64/155.png Van Persie currently leads the goalscoring charts with 16 Premier League goals, while Suarez is just behind the Dutchman as they prepare to do battle on Sunday. United currently lead the league by seven points and they will be hoping to take a step closer to the title with victory against Liverpool with rivals Manchester City facing a tricky trip to Arsenal. Although Liverpool have won their last two Premier League games this is arguably their toughest task of the season as they have yet to beat anyone above them in the table to date. It is a key month for Liverpool with away trips to City and Arsenal to follow the clash against United and Brendan Rodgers will be hoping his side can get a positive result at Old Trafford. Manchester City could find themselves 10 points behind Manchester United at the top of the table when they kick-off at Arsenal on Sunday afternoon and a win will therefore be vital. The defending champions already trail their derby rivals by seven points and that gap could increase if Sir Alex Ferguson's side defeat Liverpool in the lunchtime kick-off. Live on Sky Sports 1 4pmhttp://e0.365dm.com/football/badges/64/413.pngvshttp://e0.365dm.com/football/badges/64/345.png Roberto Mancini will be ensuring his players only focus on their own game but he will be aware of the potential mounting pressure in chasing United. Arsenal want to be in the title race themselves but an inconsistent season leaves them 11 points behind City before their game. Fans of the London club are desperate for manager Arsene Wenger to improve the squad in the January transfer window but he is remaining typically guarded. Much will be expected of Theo Walcott in a game of such magnitude, when he must prove his potential in a central striking position amid the ongoing uncertainty about his contract. LETS HAVE YER PREDICTIONS FOLKS!
