Have been looking to use gem ruby corn for next year. Just wondered if any one has used it and had anything to say about it,good or bad?

I tried it a few seasons ago and found it difficult to get the birds to accept the red maize,I think Gem Irish is the best feed on the market, just add the odd thing to suit your own needs.

Oh right I find Irish a bit heavy though considering we have tail winds nearly evry week

Oh what and that would really make a difference is there any need to feed that heavy when the club only goes out to 300 miles? I know a lot of people use it north road but not on the south.. But I suppose each to there own what distance do you fly wit that then?

And you do alright onthat then?

What fed do you fly in?

find this a strange thread

you ask for opinions, you get one

then interrogate the man who offered it

he told you why he did'nt like it

so why ask if you don't like the answers

Sorry I was only asking just wondered why that was all because so many people have an opinion I just like to know the reson behind things

once again sorry if I have annoyed any one in posting this

Not annoyed mate,as you say everyone has an opinion and all feeds whatever they are can be adjusted by the fancier,if you want to sprint I wouldn't go past Gerry +.especially with young birds.Been among pigeons for 60 + years and what suits one won't suit another.I race into what I consider the most difficult route in the UK.as it says under my avatar.

Ok thanks for replying yer I know what you mean about what works for one doesn't work for another. Its just sometimes you make a decision on a feed say and some then says that that fed is just not good enough on its own but you stick by your guns and start dropping birds it then makes you think we're they right?

Because I will agree that nothing is better that experience. Which I don't have so by asking the people who do it can put me in the right direction. And if more than two people have a opinion on one thing you can see the positives and negertives of the argument if you get what I'm getting at?

Thank you

One thing that I would like to add is just because that a feed is dear doesn't make it the best,it might be better than some, but I'm a big believer in barley and beans AT THE RIGHT TIME.
