yeboah Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 With the Autumn feel now in the air and the racing nearly all but over it is now very obvious going by club and fed results that the fanciers with the darkness youngsters are winning the races,Darkness youngsters in our club are now streets ahead of the natural flyers and watching the federation results the same can be said for that,I do not get many strays in at this time of year as at the start of the yb racing but the natural one's that do drop in are shocking ,seventh flight ,no neck feathers half tails and cover feathers gone bloody shame for the poor wee devils expected to race in that condition, are there natural flyers still beating the darkness fanciers in your clubs or does the same apply as our results .

Guest IB Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 IMO moult is a perfectly natural event. I watch the wild pigeons and wonder how many of them would starve to death if human whims were applied to their everyday lives? I’ve seen them flying between their roosting and feeding areas in all weathers at all times of the year and in all light conditions. Watching that makes me wonder when some pigeon folk actually fly their pigeons? Condensed opinions from the forum include not sending because:- Too warm, too cold, east winds, north winds, cloudy, no cloud cover (clear blue sky). sun & moon in sky together, rain forecast, and of course – too far on in the moult.
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 There are some natural birds in good feather and still scoring be they early bred or laterbred with the occasional mad scraggly one popping up but would imagine if you look at any federation result in the country of the last couple of weeks over 75% of the birds featured will have been darkened and in some areas perhaps even lightened
