Guest Cornish-Jon91 Posted June 20, 2012 Report Posted June 20, 2012 Thanks for the reply. Is that the YBS stuff?
Guest geordiejen Posted June 20, 2012 Report Posted June 20, 2012 hi mate some of my birds are doing the same but i think its due to the moult.seem to be sitting around looking a bit sorry for themselves.if they are moulting i would be very weary of giving them anything other than beneficial stuff that supports there immune system.take this on face value as we all know the immine system is at its lowest at this time of year.you are the best judge of your birds so do what you think is right.the moult shouldnt bring on wattery droppings unless they have been trained hard or raced.mid summer can also see the salmonella e-coli infection show its ugly face.are the droppings green and waterry?
Wiley Posted June 20, 2012 Report Posted June 20, 2012 Byes mate dark green and slimeyAre they vomiting?

Guest pigeongirl Posted June 21, 2012 Report Posted June 21, 2012 a couple of my young birds looked the same about 5 weeks ago. i starved them for a day and then gave them a light feed of canary seed moistened with cider vinegar and sprinkle adanosan on and mix. a teaspoon of seed per bird just so i could give them the chevita adanosan. give them this for 3 days. you might find them still being sick after the first day with it on but they will of ingested some of it and should improve. dont know if u have enough time but try and sit with them and find out who is the sickest. last year i had two with full blown sickness and treat them for 7 days with adanosan. the rest of the loft was locked in and treat for 3 days before letting them out again. they are still with me today as yearlings and doing well at racing. when u do finish treating them dont just give them the full amount of corn back in one go. i normally give them a teaspoon per bird morning and night first day building up each day with 3 to 4 feeds per day untill back to full feed. if u think about when u have been off your food when ur better too much food in one go gives u a belly ache. hope they all better soon. if the adanosan doesnt work or your birds deteriate more you will need to seek the advice of your vet. all the best
Guest strapper Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 I think my youngbirds have a problem.. Some have watery dropping.. Some are loosing weight and some rump up after i feed them? any ideas? Cheers right ill say this bluntly so your understand...stop asking questions on here and get them examined by a good vet! there is a hell of a lot of this about, and it wont go away with ybs treatment or starving them..when they start to lose weight then it has a strangle hold of their digestive system.take all grit away and dont give them any vitamins..vitamins maybe feeding the problem.feed small type corn/seed untill they are tested by the vet..remember to take fresh droppings from several birds not just the one...maybe take one of the worst condition birds too. question to you..... are they feeding and drinking more? leaving this problem to sort itself out will only make matters worst.
Guest robscott Posted July 13, 2012 Report Posted July 13, 2012 if those were my birds the first thing id do is buy some rotaboost 2000,keep em lock up until all sound again and no feed till they start to pull round, that rotaboost is good gear 2-3 days you will see a improvment.remove all grits n minerals, chuck em away n give em fresh when healthy again.once healthy again use vanodine 18 once a week.
