Guest bigda Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 have there ever been a case, for better breeding of young birds, that are bred in a dark nest box as against a open nest box widow hood type plastic fronted, why i ask this the German up and over can be darker inside, i just wanted to know if you thought this would make a bird more calmer or better feathered.
tiger Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 see next time ur peeking over the wall ask wee wullie or george they might tell you
greenlands Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 Good post,I have noticed the ones in the top nest boxes are tamer young birds, maybe because they get handled more and have more access to you visually when they are very young.I use widowhood fronts.
