franny41
all my birds are cliver thife pouters Think This Bit Would Be Better Named Working Birds Or Cliver Birds coz all other are lets face it ONLY fast. Racing pigeons are as every bit as clever as Horseman you only have too go round some of the loft in Glasgow/Edinburgh/Greenock/Gourock and hear guy's say awe there he's goat ees homer doo oot am no flying agin that "why" cos it too clever and diznae light. Or there ees goat ees homer hen oot am no flying agin that "why" cos its a treadin machine and straight hame

geordie1234
Personally I think homers and pouters are good at there own trade! You don't ask a painter to wire up a house. To label racers daft because they don't do what pouters do is ridiculous, would love to see a pouter navigate home from France doesn't mean it's a stupid bird does it? scottym7
Every bird has different capabilities in my opinion, I was on holiday last year and a friend was training my you racers, i had forgot to remove a self red hen and a blue ck however after 2 weeks training to 40 mile they had returned every day and since then they fly with my race team, mite even chuck them in as trainers up to 120 mile to see how they perform, however i think race birds have r far superiour OOPS forgot to say Horseman hen and ck lol

Guest Geo
we had a wee red homer hen that thieved more pouters than the so called good hens each bird is an individual but we don't treat them as such. some homers can turn to the thief pouter game but Ive never seen a pouter win a race lol so i was wrong in my first post all birds are smart birds in different circumstances
