Guest Dorset-lad Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 i am feeding them in boxes !! maybe you are better of putting a table spoon full in at a time and if they leave any stop feeding them jmo
Guest LBuddle Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 For breeding we feed Versele-Laga Start Plus. We feed it at the rate of one just over level 25ml spoon per bird (ie 2 parents & 2 Babys = 4) twice a day (4 am & 4 pm) We also keep a pot of Barley on the floor at all times so that if it is not quite enough the Parents can top themselves back up with that, the parents will always give their first crop full to their babys.. I think you can over feed when breeding and we have found if you give them to much them the babys droppings get loose.
yeboah Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 After the young are 7 days old ,feed the parents morning noon and night as much as they want but never leave any lying about after 15 minutes find if they dont get to much they eat everything all the time.As the young start eating with the parents feed them 100% maples in there boxes before they get there mixture, any that show weakness are removed .
