Guest darren cantrill Posted January 28, 2012 Report Posted January 28, 2012 if you go online and type in rspb accounts 2011 you will see that they spend 15million a year on advertising alone net profit was 94million it certainly isnt something to be sniffed at as a buisiness sorry i stand corrected charity its about exposing the agenda a charity that is run as a buisiness!!!!! they have a prepared answer when it comes to predation they have been able to deflect negative issues and stories especially concerning pigeon attacks because to many people pigeons are flying rats who do you think started that one????? and in answer to the link i think the wild birds have realised its them that are getting served up at the bird table it is known fact that the breeding and release programme of perigrines fell into the known corridors of line of flight of federations and combines they did there homework 40years ago untill the pigeon fraternity as a whole takes up the fight addresses the inbalance that now exists in nature it will always be the same and alas i think its to late. the pigeons havent got worse over the years the homing instinct hasnt been lost if someone kept dropping me off at certain points every week and i was getting mugged shot at and attacked on the way home id bugger off some where else to live aswell the least id do is hang back and let the attackers nail someone else first!many charities benifit from you the pigeon community with out you many would fold there are people alive today because of your charitable nature thats the element that needs publicising taking the rspb on in there own back garden so to speak just helps them paint us as the enemy it has to be a structured concerted effort and it wont be easy there livlihood is at stake but so is your way of life

When ever I am out and about I see the RSPB collecting money and there is an audience I raise the question about BOP’S and the declining bird population, guess what their answers is? I take it you’re a Pigeon fancier and won’t answer my questions. Until such times the RPRA get involved with nation wide evidence from all pigeon fanciers you simply don’t stand a chance, the RSPB will maintain their stance that BOP’S are rare and need protecting.
alex wight Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 Why doesn't someone with intellect on this site, prepare a letter that we can all download, then stick one in the post to them, all at the same time. We could do this on a regular basis, and even supply the letter to our local papers, to let them see what our concerns are. I,m sure at some point that a response will be gained, then again maybe not..
Guest Tooshy Boy Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 R.S.P.B. THATS ALL THEY ARE GOOD AT RATTLING TINS FOR MONEY AND TELLING LIES.///
Guest darren cantrill Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 i hope you all looked at their sight and checked out their accounts i cant find a link or i would put it on here.we are the converted we understand the decimation and feel it on a personal scale ive been away from the sport six years and just from reading this sight i can tell for some people it is carnage i read yesterday someone had to rescue a bird with a well aimed shoe (well done by the way) the facts are there is no way you can take the rspb on in a head on confrontation and they know this.they have no need to give you the pigeon flyer an honest response or any response at all cause you are never going to donate to their cause they are ready for the battle they make to much money a charity that spends 15million to publicise their (business) isnt going to take notice of a few thousand disgruntled pigeon fliers.they have the misinformed public on there side the way to take them on is not to persecute percy either im afraid the more times we harrass and attack percy all we do is turn the public against us,and gives them free publicity and all we do is highlight the birds need for protection which has them laughing all the way to the bank.the first thing that is needed is that a serious amount of money needs to be found from somewhere you have the means to do it and it can be done in house a professional publicist needs to be employed and they dont come cheap!and what needs promoting is the work that pigeon fliers do for the charities of this country what those said charities will lose god forbid and how the effects filter down to the people on the street the homeless the elderly the sick and the poor. promote the charities that are helped through your goodwill.look at the land that has been bought by the rspb it isnt all wetland and woodland!!!! they strategically bought land for percy on your pigeons line of flight! and they began doing this over 30 years ago it wouldnt surprise me if the lack of liberation points away from these lines of flight had anything to do with them. check the connection between forrest enterprise england(the forrestry commision)and the rspb and there land aquasitions again i cant find the link but the goverment white paper 1999 answers the question.symmonds yat being one of these places that is managed jointly on in the wye look at the connection between scottish national heritage and the rspb people on both leadership committees its a daunting task the rspb has used the racing pigeon as food for percy but can it be proved? the answers are there but there isnt anything we can do with this proof is there? and we as a whole need to address the situation thefunding well one old bird race a year one young bird race a year charge 50p extra a bird that should pay for the publicist for a year you tube face book the social media it isnt pictures of pigeons you want on there either im afraid its the rest of the wild birds the rspb has an obligation to protect proove the imbalance and you will succeed keep persecuting and attacking percy more money in the bank and free publicity for the rspb.if i had my way id make you all keep your pigeons in for one year no racing no training no flying round pen and starve the blighters out id upset you all i know but it would highlight the need for action as without our babies taking to the air the only thing left to eat would be decimated within the year then the whole population will take notice drastic yes but we would proove the imbalance
Daisymay Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 The RPRA get most of thier monies from us,we complain and we get knowhere, maybe if we started hitting them in the pocket they might just realise who and where there bread is buttered.FAT F___KIN chance
Guest darren cantrill Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 well the one way to get a response is every union should make every flier join the rspb that would be 50,000 plus voices they vote on there commitee every 5years in october normally and they are voted on by the members!!!!!!or maybe not all of them present commitee consists of:ms kate humble tv presenter of spring watch and autumn watch fame, she is president.mr ian darling chairman (frics) FORMER MANAGING DIRECTOR OF BELL INGRAM CHARTERED SURVEYERS IN SCOTLAND.CHAIRMAN OF THE ROYAL INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED SURVEYERS SCOTLAND AND CURRENTLY A MEMBER FOR THE LANDS TRIBUNAL OF SCOTLAND!!!!!!mr alan martin honery treasurer spent most of his life working for a company that makes bird rings (i wonder which sort) the rest of the commitee is made up of land owners enviromentalists and tv and media specialists oh, mr shyam parekh managing director of morgan stanley investment banking!!!!! carol rawlings communications proffessional currently working for unison rosemary radcliffe former chief economist at price waterhouse coopers currently works for the goverment advising on farming strategy mr patrick stirling aird solicitor WITH A LIFETIME PASSION FOR THE CONSERVATION OF RAPTURES!!! Guest darren cantrill Posted January 29, 2012 Report Posted January 29, 2012 The RSPB is funded primarily by its members; in 2006, over 50% of the society's £88 million income came fromsubscriptions, donations and legacies, worth a total of £ 53.669 million.[1] As a registered charity, the organisation is entitled togift aid worth an extra £0.28 on every £1.00 donated by income tax payers.[23] The bulk of the income (£63.757 million in 2006) is spent on conservation projects, maintenance of the reserves and on education projects, with the rest going on fundraising efforts and reducing the pension deficit, worth £19.8 million in 2006. the chief executives pay was 100,000 per annum plus pension benefits the wetland trust ceo earned 70,000 plus pension benefits as of 2009.in 2008 the rspb became the 8th biggest land owner in scotland 124000 acres in britain overall 321237 acres!!!!!! the net total worth of the charity is hidden as they only hold a few weeks of running funds in reserve so no one can expose there actual net worth the net income is now 94million
