just ask me Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 surely the insurance would be invalid as soon as you took it out of house or in transit ???? was thinking that too
DJWa Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 now there is a good idea wonder would they insure it and if its like £5 or so extra on the insurance would be noting to charge a few lads anyone here up on insurance could this be done i think the problem lies in that you cannot insure something that does not belong to youso ive just been told and with unikon claiming ownership that would scupper that idea
square_peg Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 surely the insurance would be invalid as soon as you took it out of house or in transit ???? garden sheds, and contents, lanmowers garden tools are covered by house insurance...why not ets?
DJWa Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 surely the insurance would be invalid as soon as you took it out of house or in transit ???? that wouldnt affect the insurance eg with contents insurance your jacket is covered if lost or damaged as would be your golf clubs if stolen from your car
square_peg Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 i think the problem lies in that you cannot insure something that does not belong to youso ive just been told not sure about that if you buy a car on finance it aint yours till you pay up the contract..and if you claim on your insurance they will pay the finance company first
DJWa Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 i think the problem lies in that you cannot insure something that does not belong to youso ive just been told not sure about that if you buy a car on finance it aint yours till you pay up the contract..and if you claim on your insurance they will pay the finance company first i may be wrong but i thought that when you got car insurance the deal was done with you and not any finance companyand any claim was paid to either the garage for repairs or yourself if scrappedany deal for finance is a seperate matter your deal with the finance company continues till paid upwheather you have still got the car or not when asking for insurance do you even have to tell them its on finance i could be totaly wrong here but this was my understanding of it
just ask me Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 it bet they will not be too happy if this can be done :emoticon-0136-giggle:
Walter swanston Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 Maybe I am missing something here but do you think house insurance would pay out on a gadjet that suddenly becomes defective
square_peg Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 ame='square_peg' date='17 November 2011 - 22:09 PM' timestamp='1321567775' post='700552'] i may be wrong but i thought that when you got car insurance the deal was done with you and not any finance companyand any claim was paid to either the garage for repairs or yourself if scrappedany deal for finance is a seperate matter your deal with the finance company continues till paid upwheather you have still got the car or not when asking for insurance do you even have to tell them its on finance i could be totaly wrong here but this was my understanding of it depends if you take out a personal loan...which you can use for any purpose...if you take car loan then insurance will pay hp company first
DJWa Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 it bet they will not be too happy if this can be done :emoticon-0136-giggle: dont know jam as never had a motor on financeand never been asked by insurance companys if on finance when getting insurance

Guest paulrstokes Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 archie we already had a base and well in the club as i think 5 members flew ets at that time when we got the lottery grant the bill to them was for a base a well and 8 systemswhich to me is a bill of salethe old base and well went back to them as it was on loan When they were marketing this (cleverly) when people and clubs were buying systems, the sales pich was if one member uses one system we will supply a base station and ring market totally free. It almost made you feel they were giving the club a system. Now it is clear they are just loaned, if this membership does not take off what next compulsory insurance or maintanence contract????
