Been through a few of these papers Roland, and this one is much the same as the others, full of 'may be'.

 

The other part of it - sensing earth's magnetic fields - if we could actually see these fields, what would they look like on the horizon? What would the bird be following?

 

Also came across another paper which is about bio-magnetite in humans and it got me wondering if we really know what the true purpose of biomagnetite is?
