We had a stray homing pigeon who landed with us Monday early evening (25 July)who appeared to be very tired and hungry. We followed your advice on strays and he was watered and fed and kept safe while he recovered. His blue ring number was: WHU 2011 D 06008

 

We let him go this morning (27 July) at around 8am and after hanging around for awhile, he flew off, hopefully back home!

 

Unfortunately, he has come back to us (after dodging next doors cat and my terrier) so he is now safely back in my tack room with food and water to keep him safe.

 

I cannot make contact with anyone at the Welsh Homing Pigeon Union and wondered whether anyone knows who owns this bird?????

 

I would like to obvioulsy get in touch with the owner so that we can arrange a safe transfer back to his rightful home – I can be contacted on my mobile: 07977 069273

Thanks for caring for the lost youngster, Gail, The WHU sec. comes on this site but as you say you couldn't contact the office maybe she is on holiday, hopefully one of the Welsh lads with a ring list will be on later and give you the club sec. 'phone number.

Joe has been very helpful and we have spoken on the telephone.

 

The youngster is safe and well with us until his rightful owner can be found and I will contact the local club that his owner belongs to tomorrow.
