My Old Favourite ,Horseshoe who was rung in 1995 and is the grandfather of my 4Th open this year ,had a few years of not filling his eggs but the last three years the old boys pencil has found new life,I have been keeping the one's that hatched for future stock as he was from the best family of birds i ever raced,This year he has produced another three young ,I have kept the last hatched for stock but decided to try his first hatched pair on the road ,sent the lovely young hen from him to compete in today's race and guess what first in the clock 8Th club,so much for all these fancy breeds cannae keep the good old Scottish family's down ,Well Pleased :emoticon-0157-sun:

Well done Horseshoe and I remember where his name came from, I think you're right, we've ignored the old British strains and swapped to the Van whatever and looking at the losses today we've gone backwards
