Guest Owen Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 the situation here near Pontypool is really bad. Peregrines everywhere. I have 5 injured old birds, none of which are likely to be able to race again, someones stray with his tail and secondries missing and I have had to kill 2 youngsters which were too bad to save. I have lost 6 youngsters, two of which were definately taken by the peregrine because we saw him at it. All this before I put a youngster into a basket. I have to admit that I am thinking of packing up because my nerves are in shreads. About the only thing that keeps me in the sport is the fact that I have some lovely youngsters and I would like to give them a chance to show me what they can do.
