i know this tpic is old but reading through the symptoms it seems like infectious catarh.i had a squad of show racers last nevenber that most of them caught this.its basically a strain of herpes virus.now from what ive read this virus can be controlled.the birds will pass on immunity to the young but only when the parents are feeding the young on crop milk.after this then its up to how high the virus is in the loft.these birds are persistant shedders of the virus and most or all adult birds will only show signs in diorea and a week or so into the virus they will show little yellow spots on the tonsils.this virus can be mistaken for wet canker.

Would like some views please on the following : Got a mate who isn't on the internet with a problem so has asked me to help.

He has had a lot of youngsters die in the nest around 2-7 days old and now a few of his stock team are looking as they have broken legs and not being able to walk then within a minute or so are up walking about as though nothing happened. ??????

this seems to have been a problem for some time......get a infected bird to a vet without further delay,no sense in guessing what it may be.
