ive a big problem with my young birds

there legs seem to have gone from under them ive also had a few die on the perches

 

ive injected against parathyoid and paramyxo virus 10 days ago

but it seems to have returned today when i let them out 2 are sat on the roof with wings hanging out not able to walk again

 

this is really stressing me out

any help appreciated thanks all

if you vaccinated them recently it will not have returned,think you need to get the droppings tested as soon as possible

My Guess is that the vaccination you gave them knocked them right back and something else has taken advantage of their weakened state. Your only course of action is to get either a dead youngster or one thats showing symptoms to a vet asap

vet waste of time my mate had same symtems went of and were dead next morning sent sample for test came back incoclusive

vet gave him baytril piccke up slowley cost over £70

they dont have a clue

most vets use other labs , the vets i use have there own labs , not all vets are bad

did the birds have paratyphoid and was this diagnosed by a vet ???????

Really feel for you mate

 

To be honest I don't have a clue, I would agree with others and suggest you contact a vet that specialises in pigeons

Seen this before mate, I put it down to Paratyphoid. Birds go down on their legs and cant even get of the floor with wings spread. I seen it in 2007 when i did the birds with paratyphoid injection and soon after Paramixo injection, nearly wiped me out. Baytril will bring the birds round but it will be slower second time round and some birds will perish. Best to get checked by a vet who knows what they are talking about.
