JohnQuinn Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 I think it was a cat, walked into my mates loft last year and the cat bolted out the trap leaving a scene Very similar to yours.
Guest WINGS 04 Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 Think you are spot on john but it was 3-2 to the cats when I finished with them till the next time :emoticon-0179-headbang:

glenrandal Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 could be a grey back crow i had the same problem and spotted the culprit soon sorted it out
mac1 Posted May 22, 2011 Author Report Posted May 22, 2011 could be a grey back crow i had the same problem and spotted the culprit soon sorted it outno not this time mate its between a cat and fox, thanks for the reply
OLDYELLOW Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 how did it get in to loft i doubt it be a cat or a fox as they usually kill and take there prey my guess would be rats or a ferret as left only bits they couldn't eat
Guest bigda Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 that is defiantly, a cat it will bite the neck off, the wings, the legs, it would have piled them up in the corner and then ate one at a time any birds with the wings cut of are cats and clean cut legs
Guest stb- Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 defo a cat thats the way they leave em m8 fox crushes them through the back and takes em away they dont eat em on the premises , a fox will crush every bird and keep comming back and forth till its got em all tucked away in its food larder buried somewhere
hawked again Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 Defo not a ferret. Ferret would kill everyone it could catch, put them in a pile and maybe eat the odd one but would defo put the ones it did'nt eat in a pile. What ever it was it may come back if it knows where to get an easy meal. Be prepaired!
Guest bakes Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 a cat done that mark if it was fox you wouldnt have any birds alive would killed everythink definately not member of muscelid family be ferret poly mink and so on as they would killed everythink and pilled it up in corner wouldnt be torn to bits like that would be single bite to neck which puncher wind pipe and start to eat head a fox would of crunched them not take wings neck feet off definatley cat bin in your pen all best.
OLDYELLOW Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 cats wont eat the corn in the crop so my guess would still be rats , or was there corn left on the floor ?????
glenrandal Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 looks like a grey back crow they will enter the loft and kill young in the nest or on the floor set a trap cause it will come back
john cumming Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 it could be any of the above killers mentioned, i say deal with them all if you get the opportunity?? john
Guest spin cycle Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 was the door of the loft open ? if not what were the possible entry points? i thought cat...but like OY says if the corn has gone i'd think rat
