Guest Gordon Drysdale & son Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 I've got a grizzle comes back from every training toss sent to the 3 races we've had always last but he's came home but going to stop him now
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Firstly you've got to ask yourself why its ages behind or days late.A lot of the time theres something you could do to make it quicker. Obviously if its days late its a cause for concern but have heard of a lot of fantastic 500mile pigeons that were never seen coming home from a club race but would usually drift in when the fancier was down the club with his clockfull of fast yins.
yeboah Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Birds cant be judged as they used to , to many hazards to contend with ,no of pigeons that have won nationals from 600 mls having never been in a race result till then ,some birds respond to a change of system ,every dog has its day some dogs just need more days omo
airdrie2 Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 if memory serves me right george most of your doos are distance doos so could be a while before you know, george training at 30 miles is diffrent than racing at 200 to 300 mls plus best of luck
