The engineer Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 I was at an older fanciers house yesterday who was thinking of packing up due to health reasons. Would it not be an idea to advertise in the BHW and the like as all he really wants is a loft helper. I personally have read the homing world for years before restarting with the birds. If i had known i would have gladly helped him. The benefits for me are numerous advise cost etc almost like an apprenteship he would have had somebody to help out do the heavy lifting etc.Any thoughts.
OLDYELLOW Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Makes sense to get a young partner and show them the ropes but as we all know most aren't interested in birds with feathers , and not everyone gets the pigeon mags , can't he get a partnership with a club mate ???? make more sense using local paper than pigeon mags

If you are only racing young birds this year would it not be an idea for you to help the man out with his old birds??Would certainly put you off on the right foot and maybe keep you away from some of the pitfalls with your own doos
