This week we have had a widow cock fighting with another cock . the cock in question is a 3 year old he has started going into a yearlings box and made a wright mess of him . Is there any way of stopping him ? we have been putting him in a basket as soon as he trys to go in to the yearlings box . Week before racing ( ALL WE NEED EH )

I would just box him for a week otherwise alternate him and the yearling one day him locked in the next the yearling and try and darkining his box slightly. jmo

put an elastic band around his legs ensuring he can walk about and can be mobile , if he can't spread his legs he can't fight so will calm down , however you can use these type of loft situations to your advantage and use it to motivate the old cock ;)

I've found the bullied pigeon quickly loses confidence in himself and his ownership of his box. As soon as the cock goes to the wrong box I remove him and lock him up in his own box. After an hour or so, I let him out and if he again goes to the wrong box, I remove him in a way that allows the other cock to throw him out of his box, and lock him up again, for a longer period. It does wear you out, but he will eventually get the message.

thanks for the advise guys . looks like the shutting him in the basket has done the trick he,s not been bothering the yearling today . and i was thinking the same about the motavation , our first race is next week so the yearling cock will be in old cocks box with old cocks hen .
