travis Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Hi, just my opinion I like to have babies on maple peas for a few weeks after weaning, then blend them in with a mix then move onto the mix. (VL Junior O for me, upto race prep). OBs a good mix probably by now, could get a bag of depurative to 'water' it down a bit, always a handy mix to have throughout season aswell. Hope this helps
greenlands Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 I use a mix without maize in,breed and ween, leige,or something along that line. Some like to feed beens some blue peas,I'll be adding beens and peas to my mix.Hope that helps.Lindsay.
greenlands Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 Forgot to say once my young birds start to take to the air I'll be adding some Barley or depurative depending on prices.
Wiley Posted March 3, 2011 Report Posted March 3, 2011 My young birds would be on a maize only for 3 days after weaning, and the following 3 days just maples, to encourage the birds to eat large grains, they will then go onto something like breed and wean until they start perching then they will go on a good diet mix, plenty of fatty seeds.
