PIGEON_MAN Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 Not sure if this as been on before but was wondering how many use VERSELE-LAGA corn and weather you think its worth paying the extra per bag against other corn.
Guest bigda Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 my opinion is we should boycott it, they have the monopoly on feeding they bought up 3 company's and are closing in on another one in Ireland, then we will feel the full force and prices soar like all European country's bar ours have concessionswe like to screw its own people to the ground
Guest wes hall Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 hi just been on another site saying i just bought a bag of versalaga start plus 15-75 a bag in the racing pigeon book they are advertising gerry extra from the grain store bradbury co durham whitch he sayes is exactly the same or better for 11 pounds a bag if you have 50 bags has anyone tried this company if a few of us in our area got together you would save nearly 5 pounds a bag
jocky Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 the best feeding on the market always spotless mixtures are always consistent you know the old saying you only pay for what you get.
Wiley Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 don't think you can knock there grains i always find them very clean
tiger Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 got two agree wi bigda used it last year don't think ill use it again two expensive yes it clean but not worth the money in my opinion as long as the food good it wont matter , jmo
korhil2 Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 sorry got to agree with wiley and jockey, i think their food is the best ive tried , might be dearer but you cant cut corners on feeding ? jmo
Guest bigda Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 take any feed if it germinates with in the week there is nothing wrong with it. and if farmers where that fussed the would be polishing it up to sell to the flour millif you want to sell IE your car for top dollar take a shammy to it and polish.most of the corn merchants have dust removing machines, dont know how they feed in the baskets after a 4 day hold over. the birds don't get it dust free there thrown in at the top to be trampled on
rikki Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 this sport of ours is full of so called secrets and special mixtures and also exspensive remedies go back to grass roots and try 4 quid a bag barley and watch yer doos shine!

The engineer Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 hi just been on another site saying i just bought a bag of versalaga start plus 15-75 a bag in the racing pigeon book they are advertising gerry extra from the grain store bradbury co durham whitch he sayes is exactly the same or better for 11 pounds a bag if you have 50 bags has anyone tried this company if a few of us in our area got together you would save nearly 5 pounds a bagIts a shame members in a club can not band together and order in bulk. I am looking to restart in the sport however prices are scary add a picture of a pigeon then double the price it seems. I have bought 3 fantails recently when i went to the local store the cheapest bag of corn was around £12 that was for maintenance! i think we need to start helping each other.
