Guest Hjaltland Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 "on the backs of the boxes and perches" Unless I've missed something I think its the 'backs' of the pigeons... I generally use an insecticidal spray for the nest boxes and ivermectin drops for the birds.... works well. All da best. Kenny
OLDYELLOW Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 only thing i spray boxes with is poultry sheild every 4 days keeps all red mites away
quando Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 It used to be van vermin-x and was made by van hee one drop in each nest box under the bowl and ten drops on floor, Cleared out all flies lice and mites.
Guest IB Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 There's been a few looking for it, but it seems to be taken off the market now. I'm told that it was ether-based, and fumes killed everything. I'm also told that also included 2/3 days old youngsters in the nest, so perhaps that's why it's no longer available.
gulkie Posted February 21, 2011 Report Posted February 21, 2011 verminex was the best stuff I ever used put 4 dropsin the basket then introduce yb with in an 1 hr their spotless as far as I know it is no longer on the marketeuropean ban.

The stuff we are talking about on here is not for use on the birds. Chances are you'd kill them if you did.
