Guest philb40 Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Hi all having bought the bricon system , i have now realised that with all the add ons it can be quite expensive. The print manager software is nearly£70 .I have spoken to mark palmer , the rep,and he said that the program can be shared but will only supply one special cable , which ultimately means that the program will cost each member who wants it £70unless they share the same cable .My question is if there is anyone out there who has this program and is willing to share then i will investigate a way to get the cables custom made or find a way round it.The sport is getting more and more expensive - we all want to make a shilling but it seems as if flyers are being nailed at every opportunity.Cheers
PIGEON_MAN Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Can you pleasr explain what the print manager actually is or does,we have had the Bricon system for about 5 years and I know we didnt pay for anything with that name ,is it something new I dont know about.
Guest scoobybob Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 With the Bricon Print manager you get a DVD which installs the software onto your PC. You also get a cable which connects your pocket clock to the PC. This is a USB connection. Then after you clock your birds in using the pocket clock you can connect the clock to the PC to keep a record of how your birds performed. You can record an Overveiw list, Training list, Clocking List, and a Pigeon list. You can also print these records to any printer that you have connected to your PC.So when I am training I have a record of how each of my birds are getting on. When racing I also have a record of how each of my birds performed.

Guest philb40 Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 i just mean that to get the most out of this system you could really do with the print manager - it makes assessing your overall performance far easier and you are able to track your birds performance in training and later get a better picture of what is ready for replacing.Apparently there is a dutch version avalable for free on the belg bricon site but it doesnt help if you dont speak dutch.Again it seems to be uk flyers that get shafted. If anyone is in possession of this program please get in touch and i will make it a downloadable program free of charge .But i need a hard copy first .by the way i think i have found a way round the cable problem - will let you know when i can road test it .regards phil
Guest philb40 Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 the print manager soft ware is available in english free to download on the belgium bricon site www.bricon.be/web/index.html just copy and paste to your web bar then when your on the site click software and it should reveal print manager and the upgrade ,downlod it and you have it .as for the cable i have been informed that the cable i have to get is a COM2 to USB and then just plug in your transformer into the clock directlt missing out the special bit on the bricon cable but i will know more tomorrow

Guest Owen Posted February 18, 2011 Report Posted February 18, 2011 To get myself a record of how my birds are doing, I submitted a Notice of Motions to the Club which asks the Sec to print a copy of the result for every Member who wants one each week. It is not a perfect system but it records how each of your best birds have performed against the rest of the Club.I would love to see our Club able to use Software so that all the pigeons clocked are recorded on a large monitor so that the Club Members can watch as the result unfolds right before their eyes. The problem is that, as far as I know there is no Software like that available from Bricon or anywhere else. If anyone has heard of anything like that I would love to have the details.
