I would highly recommend GIMP if you want a free photo editing system. http://www.gimp.org/

 

It does most of what photoshop can do, but the nice thing is that it is free. I know I am 1month late on this thread, but if you are still looking then GIMP is the way to go

Rob For someone that has not a lot of knowage of computers!! But interested in the photo side of it,  & not knowing  of what part of GIMP to down load!!! Do you think it a good idea to down load any of it ???.

By the way Rob it was nice to meet you in Blackpool, I was the one that once flew in your Dads old Pigeon club the Manor Park Club in the early 1980s

I downloaded gimp 2.6, had alttle play around with pictures

can't seemto change background colour, picture was one taken in loftand wanted to

change to light blue.

do u need to start with a dark background?
