right i got told to soap a 1 birds wing so i did this today ona spare hen that i ant using for nothin after my last *expletive removed* up to a cock i let out and now hasnt return :( but must learn from my mistakes anyways like i was saying i soaped this 1 birds wing and it worked i left her on the shed room for 20mins and then i had to get her down and i placed her on the trap and she just went stright bk into the loft with out having to push it or anythink but how long should i keep doing this for ?? befor lefting her out to actly fly ? shes been in the loft for 3months now and i ant using her for nothin so wouldnt be a loss but i dont real want to lose her incase i get a cock for her some time lol ? advise would be greatful this time so i dont mess it up

I don't let any pigeon outside my loft that can't fly, even my YBs. IMO they have to be able to get themselves out of trouble, whether it's a cat, crow or hawk that's trying to have them.

 

A spell inside a protective 'viewing' cage which allows them to go through trap - then freedom when you think the time is right. 3 months seems fine, and this bird has already been on the loft roof for 20 minutes, and came back in, so pick a quiet spell well before feeding time, open the trap, then stand well back outside the loft and watch.
