Guest homestead Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 I dont beleive it I let the birds out for the 4th time this year I gave them a bath and cleaned out. I had put the bath inside the stock loft and was stood in the loft doorway when the attack happened. 4 weeks ago I put a 10' blakes loft up but not got around to putting the platform on the hawk and pigeon were under the loft. I shot down on my knee's to look under the shed the hawk came out ant attacked another bird 20' away. I'm a bird missing at the moment. What a start to the season

lanarkshire lad Posted January 30, 2011 Report Posted January 30, 2011 Sorry to here that, things are getting worse each year gone are the days when we could leave our birds unattended.Seems like the best code of practice is let them out for a fly and shout them back in as soon as they land. The longer they fly then there advertising themselfs to the Peregrine its a hard game these days.
