duncandoo Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 i was looking at the pictures of birds sold on the pipa site the other day, they all seemed to have a big step in there wing.at the prices of these birds, i was wondering if this is important,as non of my birds seem to have this, any informed views on this????
Guest IB Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 I've seen 2 steps described: Back in 60's it was always between Nos 1 secondary and primary. Recently I read of a step between primary 6 and 7/8/9/10. I don't know if either is important.
duncandoo Posted January 28, 2011 Author Report Posted January 28, 2011 i was wondering if this was a trait with sprint middle distance birds
Delboy Posted January 28, 2011 Report Posted January 28, 2011 I like to see a decent step on every flight up to last 3 which should be similar lengths. Just a preference of mine and no doubt means nothing to the pigeons capabilities. It comes down to theories again, eye, throat, vent wing, all just theories
