let them sit on the trap before they are able to fly

get them used to going in

 

i let mine wander in and out of the loft through the sputnick

ive a board that i slide in under it which they walk out onto

then jump up onto the landing board and drop in

 

found this the best way to keep them with very few if any fly ways

i always start placing them on trap door once perching

if its safe and your about soon as they can walk open the dooors and let them out rather than wait until they can fly it works for me

What if i left them to it, when they attempt going out and exploring then they do it? When i let the birds out im always around anyway!! Bad idea or is that ok?

if you let the birds get to strong before you let them out the first time out of the loft and something spooks them they will be off. School them first

Oh ok, ill start putting them in the trap as its a big one lol so they get to see things! Thanks guys!
