Boxer Gary Mason.

 

The Jamaican-born heavyweight fought 38 professional bouts between 1984 and 1994, winning 37 of them. His only loss was to Lennox Lewis in 1991. A former sparring partner of Frank Bruno, Mason went on to work as a pundit for Sky and had a brief venture with rugby league side London Broncos. He died in a cycling accident when his bike was involved in a collision with a van in south London.

 

Died: January 6, aged 48.
