REDCHEQHEN Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 I have changed internet providers, but can still go in my old e-mail address to pick up mail Today I have noticed that all but 1 of the e-mails sent today have http://wwww.w3. org/ TR/ xhtml1/ DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd on the first line I have purposefully put extra spaces in so that you don't get on anything if you double click (hopefully ) (shrug) I had a microsoft update yesterday which mentioned something about the w3 site and possibly the above connection - is anyone else getting e-mails with this web address on the first line? (What's it all about?)(shrug)
Albear Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Hiya not sure I understand what you are saying Sue. But there are malicious bits of software that can hijack your address book and send e mails without you knowing? If this is appropriate put an address in your address book of aaaaaaaaaaa@noreply.aa It will be the first entry in your mail book and because it is an invalid address, will scupper the program from cycling through the rest of your addresses. If I got it wrong, sorry.
