Daisymay Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 What would you recommend as a good allround wormer,or do you need to use 1-2-3 different treatments for different worms. John

Guest spin cycle Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 harkerverm in the water for me doseage is on bottle...next time i might try harkermectin
OLDYELLOW Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 how about testing to see if need treating in first place
Guest spin cycle Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 how about testing to see if need treating in first place i see what you mean but a couple of doses a year should tidy up a low population rather than letting it get bad or paying for a droppings test...same for cocci/canker. JMO

JMO black treacle ( mollasses ) seems to work for me natural but probably too cheap , should stick a pigeon on and coin it in :emoticon-0164-cash: :emoticon-0164-cash: :emoticon-0164-cash: as for hurting yes if not treated and clear then you have worms with resistance to the drug your using

Guest Owen Posted December 30, 2010 Report Posted December 30, 2010 Moxidectin is definately the best wormer you can use. The one thing to be careful about is that you need to test the droppings again after a week. It will kill all the round worms and their eggs without doubt but hair worm is a differant matter. I have known hair worm to survive 2 treatments and only disappeared after the 3rd treatment. The last thing you want is the survivers breeding another generation because that is how these pests can build up an immunity to our drugs.
