pigeonman007 Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 What would be a good size for box perches please? I have been using the V plastic perches but having seen pictures of box perches I would prefer those. Would something about 10" x 6" x 10" be ok or is this to small?
Guest ljb107 Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 should be ok, i've seen some people use 10'' x 4'' x 10'' but what you have suggested is good. Lloyd
pjc Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 10 x 10 is a bit small for racers, 12 x 12 is ideal
red1chq3 Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 The best I have seen and used(they never need scaped) is were you have a length of 4" x 1", say about 4' and attach at right angles a 4" x 1" x 4" at 11" intervals, which is the actual perch, then attache this to the bac wall and then either side fix a length of 11" x 1" at 11" intervals i.e. the center of the perch is 5.5" from either side. so if you had a 6' section you could have 6 row of 5 ( 30 perchs)
