Frozen Drinkers

Wondering what people use to prevent drinkers freezing I think this is going to be a problem that gets worse and worse, this is the first year in 9 years of keeping pigeons that when i went to scrape out this morning the droppings were frozen solid!!!

I take mine out at night,at this time of year the birds don't drink a lot so a few hour without water won't do them any harm,usually about 8 am. when i put them back in the loft.

put hot water in at night,or a ping pong ball.

take them out at night, have 2 sets, or do what i do use smaller drinkers so they nearly drink it all, and a bit of ice is easily removed.
