Pigeon Attacked!

Went down the loft abit earlier to find my racing pigeon on the floor with a really bad gash on her back! and a penetration to her wing! Apart from not being able to fly she has still got plenty of go in her when i tried catching her! We were going to pull the skin back together and glue it but dont think that will work so were going to keep it clean with wound power and hope nature goes her way!!!

sounds like a hawk strike....wound powder and nature...pigeons are wonderful healers. good luck

Ok, will do that!! Fingers crossed she be fine, dont wanna keep her outta loft for to long as she has eggs in there!! After getting wound power and putting it on in the morning shall i put her straight back in the loft?

i got it from strichen vet excellent for any wounds lasts for ages ive had it years its a wee nozel plastic container

Sounds abit like what i have Walterbmasson, we've had it for years also!! Bird is back in loft on her eggs so hopefully resting will do her well!!
