Whats it called Cumbernauld Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Over recent night i have been getting a number of slugs in my loft, They are entering throught the white louver vents no bigger than a quarter inch gap. They are gone in the morning. Any one know how to stop this Thanks

harky Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 copper wire round the vents rab but mind and clean it when it oxidises over,this will keep them away,tried this with my feeding bin and it worked until the copper oxidised :) :)

ticeye Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 slug pellets will poison your pigeons if picked up by the birds if you put down a layer of gravel around the lofts the slugs will not cross it
Roundo Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 I bought stuff from B&Q that you mix up in a watering can and spray it over the area that is worst affected by the slugs/snails and watch what happens. When you go out in the morning it'll be like a battle ground, dead slugs and snails everywhere. I make a point in doing this every few weeks, it certainly keeps them away. Colin.
